The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) stated that students must complete ten assignments for higher mathematics subjects. In the notice, they have also stated that the DSHE will distribute five assignments for the first Paper and five assignments for the second Paper, respectively. Consequently, due to COVID-19, students are now required to participate in the Assignment Work, worth 50 marks, for the HSC Exam 2021. The remaining 50 marks will be awarded for the Multiple Choice Question Test, held in November 2021.
Students must complete the Assignment solutions as soon as possible after receiving the assignment question because it will now count toward their grade point average on the HSC Exam in the year 2021.

The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has decreased the Higher Mathematics 1st Paper chapter for the exam year of HSC 2021, which will be administered in November 2021 due to the COVID-19 Corona Virus Outbreak.
Consequently, the number of chapters has been reduced to make the Syllabus more manageable for students and to accommodate the limited time available for the HSC Exam in Bangladesh, held in November 2021.
